Sometimes There Are Flowers…
(A Celebration of Friendship Among Women)

There are times in everyone’s life when threatening clouds roll in, when storms brew and the winds blow fiercely. These life events may be turbulent and dramatic, and other times the mood can be disconcertingly soundless and still. In these times one can only wait, suspended…not in fear (though the dark is fearsome), but in hope.

And they always appear…the flowers. They bring the light with them. Sometimes they appear randomly one-by-one and other times they appear in massive bouquets or fields of abundant blooms. The colors are exquisite, the fragrance evocative of love and beauty. The blooms themselves are individual masterpieces, and like snowflakes, no two are ever alike. They are all reminders, these lovely blossoms, that despite the dark and perhaps because of the dark, sometimes there are flowers.

This series is dedicated to all the flowers in my life and to my friendships with the dearest of women.
